Thus an art Teacher has to be good in art and teaching both, and should be able to understand the mentality of children of all age groups. He / She should be able to tap talented and gifted students and have diversified methods to teach a subject.
Hence it is also important to learn the principle and practicalities of art, have thorough practice in teaching in an unique manner. Learning to teach and learning the consequences of teaching methods, understanding limitations, all is important for an aspiring art teachers.

To enable the student to exert leadership in programmes of development of art in primary and secondary schools.
To make him sufficiently grouped in both theory and practical subject, equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary for teaching i a integrated manner.
To enable him to recognise individual needs of students and create teaching and learning situations based on individual needs.
To enable him to contrive and use variety of effective teaching and learning procedures. He should be complete and willing to experiment with approval and new methods of presenting art experience to children.
